Following this time, he entered a leadership role as the director of Grupo Roble until starting his present role with Real Hotels and Resorts. To gain further expertise in his field, Mr. Poma earned a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to his main career, Mr. Poma was a skilled helicopter pilot for more than 20 years. An accomplished guitarist, he is a member of the band Steady Rollin', which has more than 60,000 listeners on Spotify and over seven million views on their music videos on YouTube.
A dedicated civil advocate, Mr. Poma serves as the director and member of the executive committee for the Escuela Superior de Economia y Negocios in El Salvador, a foundation his father established that provides careers in several fields, including law and engineering. He is also the vice president of Fundacion Renacer, which helps abandoned children in El Salvador. The organization selects youth from orphanages who are close to 18 years old and brings them to various businesses in their area of interest, such as hospitality, marketing or reception, providing them with on-the-job training in order for them to gain self-sufficiency.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Poma intends to leave a legacy regarding the social aspect of his life as well as for his professional work.
