Drawing on more than a decade of experience in education, Ms. Burrows has served as a teacher with the Clark County School District since 2017 where she initially taught kindergarten. In 2020, she began teaching special education. She now teaches first through fifth grade special education. She also serves on the social committee and maintains an open-door policy with children. Prior to joining the Clark County School District, Ms. Burrows served as a teacher for the Nye County School District, where she taught for 10 years.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Burrows volunteers with Heart Heroes and the American Heart Association. Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, she earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2007. To further her expertise in the field, Ms. Burrows received a master's degree in special education from Western Governors University in 2017. To commemorate her accomplishments, she was nominated for the Heart of Education Award in 2022.
