Supported by a robust background in the insurance industry, Ms. Hamilton spent many years of her career with the American Automobile Association (AAA). She began her employment with the organization as an assistant cashier and climbed the ranks to act as a claims examiner and adjuster. For 15 years, she was a claims manager for AAA before becoming an office district manager. In light of her outstanding body of work with AAA, Ms. Hamilton earned a trip to San Francisco and achieved several awards from sales representatives.
Upon her departure from AAA, Ms. Hamilton served as an insurance sales agent on behalf of agencies in California and North Carolina. Since her formal retirement, she has become involved in property investment — efforts that include an 80-acre almond farm in Fresno with a 2,000-square-foot home, as well as a house in Beech Mountain, North Carolina, and two houses in Myrtle Beach.
Ms. Hamilton earned a Bachelor of Arts in physical education, with a minor in agriculture, from California State University, Fresno, in 1975. She also received two insurance licenses in California and five in North Carolina. For more than 20 years, she managed the California State Automobile Association.
