With more than 35 years to his credit in supply chain logistics, Mr. Logston has found success as a logistics coordinator for Ascend Performance Materials. Since 2019, he has focused his efforts on retail management as well as handling the supply chain and transportation logistics for the company. He retired from this position in 2021.
Previously, Mr. Logston worked with the Kroger Company from 1976 to 1986, whereupon he became a materials coordinator with the Tennessee Valley Authority in 1987. He was promoted to a project manager in 1996, through which he served the area of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and continued his rise to leadership roles within the company. He ultimately became a manager of transportation services in 2006 and left the company in 2014. Following this period, he served as a warehouse manager for Vertiv Co. in 2017 and for High Sec Labs in 2018.
After completing coursework at Calhoun Community College, Mr. Logston earned certification in parts, warehousing and inventory management operations from Clemson University. He went on to attain a license in electric utility systems operations from the Professional Training and Development Institute.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Logston credits his ability to form connections in the field, as well as his versatility in various sectors of the supply chain industry. Within the coming years, he intends to spend more time as a consultant. Ultimately, Mr. Logston plans to take his knowledge to a company that could benefit from his knowledge of improving processes and systems.
