Before owning the tanning salon, Ms. Klein made contact lenses. She is married to Howard Klein — who supports her in her journey at Uptown Tan — and they have two children, ages 29 and 30. Karen also has a step-daughter, aged 38, and two grandchildren. Looking toward the future, Ms. Klein aspires to continue sustaining her current level of success and further expand the scope of Uptown Tan's operations.
