Drawing on over three decades of expertise, Mr. Staib is the 4th-Generation Owner and CEO of DWS Printing & Packaging. Established in 1865, DWS is a label printing and packaging company specializing in labels and packaging serving the beverage, craft beer and food industries. Mr. Staib oversees DWS' 60+ person team in its two manufacturing facilities, including at the company headquarters in Deer Park, New York and their new facility in Austin, Texas. In this capacity, his primary responsibility is overseeing company sales and operations. Product lines include pressure sensitive labels, cut-&-stack labels, shrink sleeves and sleeved cans. Outside of his main vocational path, Mr. Staib enjoys spending time with his wife of 26 years and their three daughters, golf, live music, and traveling. He has also authored a memoir, "The Perfect Club" and his second book, "Passing the Torch", is nearing completion.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Staib pursued an education at Providence College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in social science in 1990. As a commitment to his field, he has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute Inc. (TLMI), the Printing Industries of America (PIA) and the Flexo Label Advantage Group (FLAG). Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Staib and DWS contribute to the Rock and Wrap It Up anti-poverty organization.
Well regarded for his contributions to the field, Mr. Staib has received multiple awards, including the Craft Beer Marketing Awards (CBMA) for the DWS "Face-to-Face, Coast-to-Coast" video client spotlights. He attributes much of his success to his integrity, interpersonal skills and dedication to providing superlative customer service, care and satisfaction.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Staib aspires to expand the geographic scope of his company, especially in the Pacific Northwest. Furthermore, he intends to continue to mentor and work together with his nephew and partner, TJ Staib, to successfully continue their family's unique five-generation, 157-year legacy.
