CLARKSVILLE, TN, October 18, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amanda Travis Rush has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Rush serves as the co-owner of Sanctuary on Main, a therapeutic yoga studio and wellness center in Clarksville, Tennessee. Specializing in teaching various forms of yoga seven days per week, including hot, vinyasa and therapeutic yoga, she also offers clients reflexology appointments from a certified and registered skilled practitioner, which includes a natural alternative medical practice that encompasses the stimulation of reflexes and application of pressure to specific points on the body.

In addition, Ms. Rush is a licensed massage therapist who works alongside three other team members that provide massage therapy treatment to those interested. Among other services, her business partner, Erika Wolf, is a certified holistic life coach who has been instrumental in guiding individuals in finding the best version of themselves. Outside of overseeing all operations of her studio, which includes the management of monthly yoga schedules and massage appointments, Ms. Rush runs a small café at the front of her building. In addition to making hot delicious cups of coffee, lattes, and other caffeinated drinks for her customers, she sells coffee-free drinks, oatmeal, bagels, and other morning snacks to help customers jumpstart their day.

Lending her expertise to those in need, Ms. Rush frequently provides therapeutic yoga to the military community. She and her team at Sanctuary on Main also work closely with area high schools, sexual assault centers and juvenile detention centers. Recognizing the power that yoga can have on others, Ms. Rush discovered the ancient practice when she was on the verge of taking her own life. Today, her studio has garnered renown as a safe space where everyone can come together and heal.

Ms. Rush purchased Sanctuary on Main (formerly Yoga Mat) in 2015. Looking toward the future, she envisions expanding her studio so that she can provide additional wellness services throughout the community. In the meantime, Ms. Rush remains busy overseeing yoga and massage schedules, teaching classes, managing the café at the studio bar, and coordinating local events.

Avid about giving back to her community, Ms. Rush has worked with a variety of veterans groups to include the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which is a caregiver program for disabled veterans, as well as the Wounded Warrior Project, local food drives, animal shelters and several other local charitable organizations.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Ms. Rush spent 18 years as a civilian government-contracted employee for the U.S. Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. In her work as a government contractor for the U.S Army, she was deployed twice as a part of the Army Oil Analysis Program. Recognizing her contributions, Ms. Rush received a battle combat flag for her efforts in Afghanistan. She also received a Certificate of Appreciation from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

Ms. Rush studied at Austin Peay State University with the assistance of a softball scholarship. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in environmental science in 1999. Well-qualified in her field, Ms. Rush received an RYT-200 yoga certification and Reiki Master certification, followed by a massage therapy license in 2019 after completing 500 hours of instruction at the Nashville School of Massage Therapy.
