In this capacity, she is an operations manager with Amazon. Since 2018, she has focused her efforts on monitoring changes in metrics and visiting stations that are falling short of their expectations. She supports the station leadership on improving some of the areas following standard work while addressing any issues they may have about improving some of those key metrics. Prior to her current role, Ms. Vaughn began her career as a manager with the Xerox Company for 18 years. She then was the vice president of education for the Southeast Michigan Chapter of IIBA in 2017.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Vaughn earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Baker College of Allen Park in 2015. Well-qualified in her field, she holds a business analysis certification and is a project management professional. She also has a Lean Six Sigma green belt certification. In recognition of her excellent work, she was honored with a Perfect Attendance Award and was named Employee of the Month. She was also the champion of a business strategy game at the Baker College of Allen Park in 2015.
Ms. Vaughn has been serving on a school board serving around 1,200 students for about 6 years and has been serving as president of the board for about 4 years.
Within the coming years, Ms. Vaughn intends to establish her own business and is considering entering the agriculture industry. Having grown up seeing her mother work in the printing industry as a bindery worker, she saw from an early age how books are made and leaned into that industry to start her professional life. She is driven to success by her children, wanting to ensure they have the best possible life and are set up for their own future successes.
