Similarly, he was the first author of "Effect of Spironolactone on COVID-19 in Patients with Underlying Liver Cirrhosis: A Nationwide Case-Control Study in South Korea."
In recognition of his professional achievements, Dr. Jeon was presented with the Best Presentation Award in 2015 and a Best Paper Award in 2021 from The Korean Association of Internal Medicine (KAIM). Likewise, he won the Young Investigator of the Year Award through the European Association for the Study of the Liver and an Academic Research Award from the Korean Association of Internal Medicine in 2022.
