During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Phakonekham committed himself to learning from a master sushi chef with more than 20 years of experience.
THORNTON, CO, October 31, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Soudchay Peter Phakonekham has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Phakonekham is recognized for his success as chef and owner of Taku Sushi, which he opened in 2021, and as the restaurant manager of Orion Sushi and Okinawa Sushi. Mr. Phakonekham plans to open another Taku Sushi location next year. In the next five years, his goal is to be operating as many as six restaurants throughout the state of Colorado.
Mr. Phakonekham began his career as a server at the Siloam Cafe in Arkansas when he was 16 years old. After some time away from restaurants working in the retail sales field, he returned to the hospitality industry as a server at Okinawa Sushi in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Phakonekham committed himself to learning from a master sushi chef with more than 20 years of experience. In the process, he was inspired by this chef's dedication, passion and loyalty to open his own business.
In addition, Mr. Phakonekham has been recognized for accomplishments outside of his primary work. He won First Place in the Colorado State Powerlifting Competition in 2020 and won First Place in the Michigan Cultural Pageant and was named Mister Midwest, both in 2017.
