KANSAS CITY, MO, November 02, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dianna C. Howard Kolen has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

For several decades, Ms. Kolen has found success as a principal of multiple elementary schools within Kansas City Public Schools. Prior to her retirement, she focused on helping students improve their academic performance in various subjects, including reading, mathematics and science. Alongside her responsibilities as a principal, Ms. Kolen also thrived as a curriculum coordinator for Grandview C-4 School District in Grandview, Missouri.

Since her retirement, Ms. Kolen has excelled as a trustee at her local church, where she additionally teaches Sunday school and participates in musical performances. An active affiliate of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., she also regularly provides mentorship to other members of the aforementioned sorority. Likewise, Ms. Kolen currently contributes to the National African American Reparations Commission, which was established in 2015, in numerous voluntary capacities.

In recognition of her exemplary career, Ms. Kolen was acknowledged at the Friends of Yates' 40th Annual Black Men & Women of Distinction Program in 2020. She attributes a great deal of her success to her desire to serve as a powerful influence in the development of young African American children. In the coming years, Ms. Kolen intends to focus on sharing her vast professional skill set with her local church while expanding upon her participation in ongoing community service initiatives.
