He then served as the president of Joseph W. Jacques, CPA, PA, in Rockville, Maryland from 1985 until starting his present firm in 2000. Also a dedicated civil advocate, he served as the president of the Avery Forest Homeowners Association in 1989 and was part of the board of directors for his local Yellow Ribbon Fund.
Prior to embarking on his professional Journee, Mr. Jacques earned an Associate of Arts in accounting from Northampton Community College in 1973. He then attained a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Bloomsburg University in 1974. Well-qualified in his field, he is a registered finance planner master and investment advisor in Maryland, and he holds certification as a certified public accountant. In recognition of his excellent work, he was featured in Forbes and Barron's magazines as one of the top investment advisors in the country, highlighting his stellar business practice in 2021.
Within the coming years, Mr. Jacques intends to continue maintaining his firm's successes for his son, Jeremy Jacques and cousin Bill Jacques, to take over when they are ready. Having always wanted to be an accountant, he found he had an affinity for financial planning and investing early in his career and ultimately switched his focus to those areas. His goal was to help people understand what they need in terms of savings and retirement, finding the best possible investments for them so they would be able to accomplish their goals and objectives.
