ALPINE, TX, November 03, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sara Anne Bow, RN, MSN, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Bow enjoyed a fulfilling career in health care that spanned more than five decades, much of which was spent as a charge nurse at the Big Bend Regional Medical Center. In this capacity, she was responsible for aiding patients when necessary while performing her rounds, guiding nurses under her tutelage, and ensuring that the orders of presiding doctors were expressly followed. Having achieved such accolades as Employee of the Month on two occasions and acknowledgement as the hospital's Nurse of the Year in 2004, Ms. Bow retired from her vocation in 2004.

At 12, Ms. Bow had her appendix removed – during her convalescence, she came to greatly appreciate the care of a licensed vocational nurse who tended to her needs, and resolved to follow a similar career path while coming of age. After attaining an associate degree in nursing in 1992, she attended Angelo State University, from which she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996. Following this achievement, Ms. Bow studied online at Walden University and received a Master of Science in Nursing in 2010.

Outside of her primary career endeavors, Ms. Bow has distinguished herself as an ambassador for the town of Alpine, Texas. Likewise, she has served as a member of the International Good Neighbor Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering good relations between Texas and Mexico, and as an auxiliary member of the American Legion. Ms. Bow has also volunteered at Sunshine House Inc., a senior citizen center in Alpine, Texas, and as a secretary for her local Baptist church.

In accounting for her standout success, Ms. Bow credits the influence of her late husband, Jack, whose love and support saw her surmount numerous obstacles across the span of her professional journey. Looking toward the future, she hopes to continue helping others in need, as well as encouraging them to follow their dreams, thereby exemplifying the tenets of her personal motto; "If you have a dream, you can do it."
