As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than 15 years of excellence to her credit in nursing, Dr. Yocum has found success as a leader in her field. In this capacity, she serves as a nurse manager for the emergency department observation unit and nurse manager for the pediatric emergency department, both at Penn State Health. She also mentors assistant managers and nurse managers while delivering various presentations for the center.

Before starting her private career, Dr. Yocum served honorably as a hospital corpsman for the United States Navy from 1992 to 2001. Following her military service, she began her career as a clinical staff leader for the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in 2005. Hershey Medical Center by placing a healthcare provider at the forefront of the center. She also was a co-presenter for the project, winning an award for her excellent work on both the initiative and the presentation.

Within the coming years, Dr. Yocum plans to continue rising in leadership roles at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
