William G. Love has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

    SUNSET, UT, November 09, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William G. Love has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. With nearly 35 years of experience in the areas of research and historic preservation, Mr. Love has found success as an Aircraft Restoration Consultant. In this capacity, he founded Valkyrie Research in 2019, focusing his efforts on vintage aviation. His extensive knowledge of museum methods, multidisciplinary restoration techniques and visual history is available to anyone seeking quality and accuracy in their endeavors.

Mr. Love began his training in 1988 as a Restoration Volunteer for Utah's Hill Aerospace Museum. He has also worked for the organization as a staffer, Art Exhibit Curator, Collections/Library Intern and Archival Technician. Outside the museum sphere, he served as a Researcher/Donor for the Boston Public Library's Charles J. Connick Collection, was an Executive Member of The Memory Grove Foundation Board of Directors, published a work of historical fiction (Atrocities), was a founding sponsor of the National Museum of the United States Army, authored "A History of Memory Grove" for the Utah Historical Quarterly and contributed the final chapter to the essay collection "Utah and the Great War: The Beehive State and the World War I Experience" by the Utah State Historical Society.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Love served in the United States Air Force and then worked for various Federal contractors as an Armed Contract Security Officer (ACSO), Supervisor and Contract Manager. Following this time, he sought a career change and became a journeyman Aircraft Painter for the U.S. Air Force's Ogden Air Logistics Center.

After his retirement from Ogden ALC, Mr. Love continued his education by attending Weber State University. He graduated Cum Laude with a BS in History/Art History and began his full-time preservation work as an Assistant Processor for his alma mater's Stewart Library Special Collections Department. He subsequently worked as a Military Specialist for the Fort Douglas Military Museum before becoming a freelance Consultant.

Mr. Love has received numerous accolades for his work including a Utah Governor's Endorsement and a Utah Heritage Foundation Heritage Award (group honors for both with The Memory Grove Foundation), a Sustained Performance Award from the Department of the Air Force, a Process Improvement Award from the Air Force IDEA Program, the Bronze Falcon Life Membership Award from the Aerospace Heritage Foundation of Utah and the Lampros Endowment Scholarship from WSU. Mr. Love also earned the President's Volunteer Service Award, the Unsung Hero Award and Volunteer of the Quarter, Volunteer of the Year and Lifetime Volunteer Awards from the Hill Aerospace Museum Volunteer Program. He was most recently honored with the Air Force Association's Nate Mazer Award for Volunteer Service, the Excellence in Community Service Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution and a Distinguished Visitor Orientation Flight in the F-16. Mr. Love currently serves on the AHFU Board of Directors and is a dedicated member of Disabled American Veterans, the Golden Key International Honour Society, the Horological Society of Utah, Patronato San Xavier Tucson and Preservation Utah.
