With more than 40 years of excellence to his credit in insurance underwriting, Mr. Weiss has found success as a partner in his own firm. In this capacity, he serves as a general partner with Dempsey, Weiss and Associates. Since 1989, he has focused his efforts on building long-term client relationships for insurance and financial services. He conducts meetings with his clients while communicating with outside advisors and other professionals.
Mr. Weiss is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an organization that is reserved for the top 2% of life insurance and financial planners in the world. He has also been part of the grant committee for the MDRT foundation, which gives substantial donations to the poor, the sick, the aged and the hungry, throughout the world. Additionally, he is a member of the South Jersey Society of Financial Professionals and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
While developing his present role, Mr. Weiss was also a general agent with Farm Family Insurance from 1990 to 2012. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he gained certifications as a life underwriter training council fellow, chartered life underwriter and chartered financial consultant. In 2003 he was inducted into the Farm Family Hall of Fame and in 2016 was inducted into the American National Hall of Fame, becoming only the 9th person in their 100 plus years of business, to be recognized with this honor. He has received various Distinguished Sales awards as well as Multiline Sales Awards and NSAA Awards. He also received a Jack Bobo Award from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as well as a National Quality Award.
Mr. Weiss joined the insurance industry when he was 19 years old and he credits his business partner Jack Dempsey, for being a great source of encouragement to him throughout his professional development. Both Dave and Jack have always recognized the importance of surrounding themselves with talented individuals who can be trusted with handling the day-to-day business operations, so they can remain focused on their client relationships. Mr. Weiss is also blessed to work alongside his son, Dave Weiss Jr for the past 20 years, and he is confident his son will carry on a successful legacy when the time arrives.
