Drawing on nearly four decades of experience in real estate and multifamily housing development, Mr. Brand has been recognized for his work as an executive director for Greystar. In his role, he leads a team responsible for multifamily development in the Western region that includes California, the Pacific Northwest, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii.
Prior to joining Greystar in 2011, Mr. Brand served as a managing director for Pacific Urban Residential, an apartment developer and investor focusing exclusively on California and the Pacific Northwest. Previously, he functioned as the managing director of Western development and capital markets at Fairfield Residential. In his real estate career, he has sourced, structured and negotiated more than $15 billion in apartment transactions.
To remain aware of developments affecting his field, Mr. Brand is a member of the Urban Land Institute, National Multifamily Housing Council and Pension Real Estate Association. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, he serves as the co-founder of the University of California Athletic Advisory Council and Real Estate Council, and currently sits on their advisory board. Mr. Brand holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in American history from Yale University and a Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School.
