THE WOODLANDS, TX, November 18, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- María Gabriela Cadena Avila has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on over 30 years of expertise, Ms. Cadena specializes in packaging design. Prior to embarking on her professional journey, she pursued an education at the Universidad Iberoamericana, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in industrial design. Looking to further her academic pursuits, she went on to obtain a master's degree in packaging design and engineering at the Mexican Professional Institute of Packaging. As a commitment to her field and alma mater, she continues to be an active member of the institution.

In 1991, Ms. Cadena began her vocation as a consultant and former owner of Moldart, an industrial packaging design studio in Mexico, where she created multiple patented designs. Most recently, she has built a prolific career as an industrial designer at the Ultraquimia Group, a bio pesticide company in Mexico. Esteemed for her contributions to the field, Ms. Cadena has received multiple accolades, including the WorldStar Award from the World Packaging Organization in 1995 and 2001, and the Mexican Packaging Award in 1995, 2001 and 2002. She has also served as a judge for the National Art Institute of Mexico for their biennial domestic design contest.

Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Cadena established various ministries and bible studies in her local church, and serves on the board of the pastoral council at her parish to support Hispanic communities. Among her professional accomplishments, she is incredibly proud of establishing the first design business specialized in packaging and during a time when the industry was primarily dominated by men, and for receiving her prestigious accolades. She attributes much of her success to her father, who introduced her to the plastic industry through his work at Imperial Chemical Industries, and professor Carlos Celorio Blasco, her mentor and friend, founder of the Mexican Packaging Institute, who introduced her to the packaging industry. Looking toward the future, Ms. Cadena aspires to expand the scope of her career and hopes to consolidate a packaging consulting firm to support trade between the United States and Mexico, as well as authoring a book on environmentally-friendly packaging.
