Originally known as Truett's Flowers, the store was purchased by Ms. Freeman's late grandmother in 1970; after renovating the building, the elder Ms. Freeman re-opened the shop under her family name in 1975.

After completing coursework in interior design, she was excited to take over the business in 2004 and has proudly carried on the family legacy ever since. In her role, Ms. Freeman operates as a one-woman team, overseeing daily operations and purchasing, vendor relationships, taking and fulfilling orders, and assisting walk-in customers.
Ms. Freeman attributes her success to paying careful attention to detail and always going above and beyond in everything she does, from creating unique floral orders to supporting the local Boys and Girls Club of America, African American Heritage Society or Franklin's Tomorrow. When she's not working, Ms. Freeman enjoys spending time with her husband and her two French Bulldogs, Sherlock and Dr. Watson. She remains grateful to her late grandmother, Betty Maurine Farquharson Freeman, for teaching her the importance of hard work.
