For more than two years, Mr. Cartoni has been serving as the chief executive officer at Cork Alliance Inc. in Miami, Florida, a family-owned and operated business. Responsible for managing national account sales, including Antigal Winery & Estates as its director, Mr. Cartoni also oversees the logistics, sales, and finance as it relates to importing and representing different wineries and beers from around the world (New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina) into the U.S., having a presence in all 50 states, working state-side with the biggest wine and spirits distributors of the U.S., such as SGW&S, RNDC, JOHNSON BROTHERS, and M.S. WALKER among others with his sales team. Prior to accepting his current position, Mr. Cartoni served as the organization's management analyst between 2019 and 2020.
Proud to have the opportunity to work at Cork Alliance Inc. alongside his family, a company that was originally founded by his father, Mr. Cartoni is joined by his sister Alessandra and brother Francesco. Recognized as a premier importer of both wine and beer, Cork Alliance Inc. has notably been distributing and importing beverages throughout the U.S. for more than two decades.
Previously, Mr. Cartoni worked in banking and wealth management for LarrainVial, which is known as a leading family wealth administration company in all of South America. He also served as an engineering trainee for Soquimich.
During an earlier stage of his career, Mr. Cartoni was active in the nonprofit sector as a volunteer staff member for TECHO in 2007, a Latin American and Caribbean youth-led nonprofit organization.
Highly educated, Mr. Cartoni received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a bachelor's degree in social sciences and humanities from the Universidad de los Andes in 2014 and subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration in business administration and management from the Herbert Business School at the University of Miami in 2020. Additionally, Mr. Cartoni completed a technical analysis program at the Universidad de Adolfo Ibáñez in Chile in 2014, completed the Next Generation Financial Boot Camp program at The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, in 2014, and received a Diploma in investments and financial markets at the Universidad of Chile in 2016.
Highlighting his accomplishments, Mr. Cartoni's family business, Antigal Winery & Estates was nominated as NEW WORLD WINERY OF THE YEAR - Wine Enthusiast 2021 Wine Star Awards. Mr. Cartoni was also recognized with a Top 100 Food & Beverage Leader Award at the Global Summit on All-Things Food USA in Las Vegas in 2021. In 2021 a team of CEIBS professors, in light of the recent partnership between CEIBS and HARVARD Case Library, wrote a case study article for Antigal Winery & Estates. The case focuses on how the family firm has reached more than 60 countries and has become a transversal brand in just five years. Becoming the fifth best-selling Argentinian malbec in the United States and the new challenges that the Asian market has brought.
