Drawing on nearly 20 years of experience in retail and department store planning and design, Ms. Ching has earned distinction for her role as the director of tenant management for Samanea New York. In this capacity, she is responsible for the Samanea Mall Development and oversees development, construction and design and tenant coordination.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Ching worked as the vice president of design, construction and business development for DPC New York. Previously, she primarily worked for luxury department stores, during which time she functioned as the project manager of store design for Bergdorf Goodman and served in several positions for Saks Fifth Avenue, including as the director of store planning, merchant initiative and vendor shops, the director of vendor shops, the senior project manager of vendor shops and the project manager of vendor shops.
Originally hailing from Hong Kong, Ms. Ching first sought an education at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in acting. She moved to the United States by herself to pursue her career and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design from the New York School of Interior Design. Later, she received a Certified Project Management Professional designation from the Project Management Institute.
Well-regarded as leader in her field, Ms. Ching has garnered several awards and recognitions throughout the course of her career. These include the Real Estate Weekly Leading Ladies 2021 designation from Real Estate Weekly, 2022 Women in Construction from Real Estate Weekly, the 45th International Store Design Competition from Retail Design Institute in 2016, and the "Fab 5" award in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
