Mary Lu Rubnitz Roffe has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

    CHICAGO, IL, December 07, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary Lu Rubnitz Roffe has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With more than three decades of excellence in musical theater arts, Ms. Roffe has earned distinction as the leader of her own production company. In this capacity, she is an award-winning Broadway producer with her company, Mary Lu Roffe Productions, LLC. Over the course of her stellar career, she has produced many outstanding shows, including "Man of La Mancha," "Spamalot," "The Country Girl," "The Addams Family," "The Realistic Joneses" and "Beetlejuice," to name a few. She has also co-produced "Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812," "The House of Blue Leaves" and "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson."

Among her professional accomplishments and many nominations, Ms. Roffe is proud to have been most recently nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical for "Beetlejuice" in 2019 and for the Tony Award for Best Musical for "Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812" in 2017. She has also won the Tony Award for Best Musical for "Spamalot" in 2005 and for Best Revival of a Play for "Boeing-Boeing" in 2008. She has also been honored with a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival of a Play for "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" in 2013 and for "Boeing-Boeing" in 2008. In 2015 she was inducted into the prestigious New Trier High School Hall of Honor.

Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Roffe earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Drake University in 1975. Also a dedicated civil advocate, she has served as a director of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago for 30 years and served on the board of the Chicago History Museum. Additionally, she is a valued member of the Broadway League.
