In addition to specializing in listing and selling residential, lake, estate, and equestrian properties, the real estate firm, which is aligned through Coldwell Banker Elite, concentrates on land development for mostly single-family subdivisions and is involved in a small amount of commercial work. Additionally, Mr. Spheeris and his team provide market analysis and staging services for clients, serve as liaisons to banks and mortgage brokers, and frequently collaborate with the homebuilders.
Garnering an excellent reputation for providing unparalleled service and professionalism, Mr. Spheeris' team is notably comprised of himself, his wife, Lucine, who oversees the closing department and serves as the office manager, and his two sons, Matthew and Alexander. Prior to purchasing Coldwell Banker Elite, Mr. Spheeris owned Prudential Absolute Realtors from 1976 to 2013.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Spheeris anticipates expanding and hiring additional agents. Throughout his extensive career, he has spearheaded the development of 38 subdivisions. Located between Madison and Milwaukee, the area is best known as a resort community for the wealthy, with houses up to $15 million. Comprised of 26 lakes that span a 15-mile radius, it is referred to as "Lake Country." Mr. Spheeris has also been credited with beautifying and improving many aspects of the city of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, particularly the city's downtown area, which garnered him a Citizen of the Year Award for his contributions. Among his most significant real estate contributions was selling homes on behalf of the Miller Brewing Company and selling the Marjorie Montgomery Ward Baker house, a French provincial-style home located on Lake Road in Oconomowoc that was built in 1928.
Mr. Spheeris and his wife are actively involved in Journey21, an organization that helps individuals ages 21 and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Journey21 community is now planning to build and manage a residential community in the town of Oconomowoc, which will also include an enrichment center and various programs and outings.
Mr. Spheeris studied at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee from 1968 to 1972. He subsequently garnered a real estate license in the state of Wisconsin. To remain aware of developments in his field, he is a member of the Wisconsin Realtors Association and the Metro Milwaukee Multiple Listing Service.
Mr. Spheeris was named as a Realtor Emeritus by the Wisconsin Realtors Association, highlighting his professional accomplishments. As a leader in the industry, he was also recognized among the Top 1% in the Country for Real Estate Sales. Mr. Spheeris attributes much of his good fortune to his diligence, professionalism, superior negotiating skills, and optimism. He also credits his father and grandfather for his early introduction to the field, both of whom owned commercial buildings and apartments throughout the area. His grandfather also developed several subdivisions throughout the Milwaukee area.
