Molly Winslow Tartt is Celebrated for Excellence in Education

Ms. Tartt exhibits determination in her approach to instruction



Demonstrating professional longevity, Ms. Tartt has been an educator with Transylvania County Schools for more than three decades.

    BREVARD, NC, December 12, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Molly Winslow Tartt has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Demonstrating professional longevity, Ms. Tartt has been an educator with Transylvania County Schools for more than three decades. She has likewise served as an instructor with Medora Elementary School in Louisville, KY. A notable member of her educational community, Ms. Tartt has instructed all levels of elementary school and established a walking program in 1994 for the Transylvania County teachers. Her experience has also extended to coaching her county's swim team, and she participated thrice in the North Carolina Center for the advancement of teaching at Western Carolina University.

Drawing upon a Bachelor of Science earned from Murray State University in 1964, Ms. Tartt went on to complete coursework in elementary education at Western Carolina University. In addition to her professional endeavors, she has contributed to schools in a volunteer capacity and started the Ladies First and One Gent program for her local branch of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ms. Tartt has likewise volunteered with the Brevard Music Center, the First Baptist Church of Brevard and the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta. Notably, the 2022 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree was selected from her area, the send-off to be observed by her branch of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Looking ahead, Ms. Tartt plans to branch out and approach new experiences. Currently attending a grief management program, she hopes to be an inspiration to others, and to ultimately start re-attending her local church. Owing to her occupational accomplishments, Ms. Tartt was nominated as Teacher of the Year in 1993.
