CARMICHAEL, CA, December 13, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sandra L. Morrey has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Morrey is a retired school teacher who specialized in teaching elementary education. She taught in California, and she also taught children of military personnel for the American North Atlantic Treaty Organization Forces in Germany. An incredible experience, Ms. Morrey enjoyed giving these children a comfortable place to learn, one that felt a bit like home even when they were living far away from friends and family.

Taking an early interest in children, Ms. Morrey knew by the time that she was in the second grade that she wanted to become a school teacher. After several individuals took notice of her innate ability to interact with young kids, she realized that teaching would be a great fit for her professionally.

As an extension of her career, Ms. Morrey served as a computer analyst, computer programmer, and computer consultant. She was also a computer systems analyst, specifically for the IBM AS/400, which was a family of midrange computers that were initially introduced during the late 1980s, generally for manufacturing companies. Additionally, she garnered experience as an aide to the vice president of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC.

An alumnus of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Ms. Morrey received a Bachelor of Science in 1964. While working toward her degree, she began teaching in the classroom, which solidified her decision to pursue a career in the classroom.

Ms. Morrey attributes her success to her parents for teaching her the fundamentals of life while coming of age. Had it not been for them, Ms. Morrey noted, she would not have been so successful in her career.

Ms. Morrey was an active member of the Brownies and Girl Scouts, as well as the Job's Daughters, an organization for young girls related to Freemasons. As an adult, Ms. Morrey is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a group within the Masonic Family, and the Daughters of the Nile, an organization whose sole purpose is to support Shriners Children's (Hospital).

Ms. Morrey has supported her local chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star by serving as Worthy Matron two times and serving as a Deputy Grand Matron two times. Ms. Morrey is very proud of her Masonic heritage, including both parents, four grandparents, two great-grandfathers, and many other ancestors. She has led her local chapter in creating and making Wreaths for Veterans, including placing them on veterans' graves at a local cemetery for the Christmas season. This project is expected to continue for future Christmas seasons.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Morrey plans to continue concentrating on her health, friendships, and community activities.
