With more than 15 years of excellence to his credit in psychiatry, Dr. Baloch has found success as a leader in his field. In this capacity, he serves as the medical director for Capital Area Psychiatric Associates, PLLC as well as for Johnston UNC Inpatient Psychiatry. He has been with Capital Area Psychiatric Associates, PLLC since 2010 and Johnston UNC Inpatient Psychiatry since 2018. He focuses his efforts on providing adult and child psychiatry while handling administrative tasks for the medical staff in the psychiatry departments. He also teaches medical students and nurse practitioners, lending his expertise to rising professionals in the medical field.

Additionally, Dr. Baloch is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the North Carolina Psychiatric Association. Prior to his current role, he began his career as an assistant professor for UNC Hospitals in 2008 and subsequently was the medical director for Carolina Outreach, LLC from 2010 to 2017.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Baloch earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998. He then attained a Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine in 2003. Well-qualified in his field, he is board-certified in adult and child psychiatry with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. In recognition of his excellent work, he was honored with a teaching award and was named a top psychiatrist in his field. He was also admitted as a fellow to the American Psychiatric Association.

Within the coming years, Dr. Baloch intends to continue to develop the programs in his companies. They are expanding their inpatient beds from 20 to 26 and are adding more services in child psychiatry while exploring their options to help their community further. They are also working on several research projects. For his own professional development, he is working on improving his leadership and administrative skills to better establish a solid footing for the businesses.
