In this capacity, he is the owner and president of Double K Earthworks, Inc. in Amarillo, Texas. Since 1995, he has focused his efforts on managing the business as a whole alongside his wife. Outside of his primary career efforts, Mr. Kelley has been a general contractor superintendent with Southwest General Contractors since 2020. Also a dedicated civil advocate, he helps a local charity for the less fortunate in his area and donates materials to a local community garden.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Kelley began his career working as a certified machinist and combination welder following his graduation from high school. He then served as a heavy and civil engineering construction superintendent with L.A. Fuller and Sons Construction, Ltd. for 24 years. Following this time, he became an operations manager with Scot Erickson in 2017 and was a heavy equipment operator for Crossfire, LLC in 2019. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Kelley earned certification as a machinist and completed a program with the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps.
Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Kelley has worked extensively in many construction management projects as a general contractor, including spending six years of his professional life building industrial structures. He was inspired and mentored by his grandfather, who worked in the industry for 64 years and imparted a great deal of knowledge as he grew up. Looking to the future, Mr. Kelley intends to maintain his company's productivity while bringing in new clients, increasing his involvement in consulting and training ventures.
