AKRON, OHIO, December 19, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael J. Walzer, teacher and coach at the Akron Public Schools, has been selected for a feature in the Eighth Edition of Marquis Millennium Magazine. Released triannually, Millennium Magazine features the narrative biographies of the world's most esteemed and accomplished professionals. The publication is available exclusively to Marquis listees, and inclusion is by invitation only.

While a senior in high school, Michael J. Walzer conducted tutoring classes at a Catholic grade school as a class project. This formative experience persuaded him to pursue a career in academia, particularly within the realm of elementary education. Matriculating at Kent State University, he earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education in 1976. That same year, he joined the faculty at Akron Public Schools in Ohio, where he served as a teacher of mathematics, science and history for fifth through ninth grade. During his tenure, he also notably excelled as a soccer and track coach. He ultimately retired from education in 2006 after accruing 30 years of excellence in the field.
