Moreover, Ms. Land learned the complexity of operations by serving as the CFO for Research and Innovation for L'Oreal Americas overseeing Accounting, Finance, Purchasing, Legal, Patents, and Business Development. In the most recent roles as zone/division CFO, Ms. Land served as the trusted advisor to the business driving deep domain expertise to manage hyper growth environments where the focus was on digital and M&As. In her current role as Chief Transformation Officer at L'Oreal North America, Ms. Land is overseeing the largest company investments with a keen eye for value creation, change management, and business integration.
Both as a student and a professional, Ms. Land has been on a personal mission to champion diversity, talent development, and high performing teams due to her belief that people are the best assets of any organization. To this degree, Ms. Land is pursuing a Master's in Organizational Phycology at Harvard University.
Ms. Land is also culturally diverse. She grew up in Eastern Europe and received education from U.S. and European Ivy League schools. Her work experience spans multiple continents and various international companies.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Land earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of North Texas in 2001. Subsequently she completed coursework in Luxury Goods at Essec Business School in 2007, received a Master's in Business Administration from Duke University in 2008 and earned a Master of Science in Finance from Harvard University in 2014. To remain aware of the developments affecting her field, Ms. Land aligns herself with different financial institutions and conferences where she speaks on topics like "Leading Innovation from the CFO Office" and "Digital Retail Revolution in China."
In a career filled with highlights, Ms. Land is most proud of her work ethic to achieve the American dream. Additionally, she takes pride in being able to give back by creating mentoring programs at L'Oreal and PepsiCo. Looking into the future, she would like to become a pro bono finance consultant for nonprofit organizations and serve as a trusted advisor on different boards. Ultimately, Ms. Land would like to become the chief financial officer or president of a medium-sized company with the intent to help it grow.
