Recently, Ms. DeMarco opened an online sewing business called Auntie's Sewing Kits, which she looks forward to expanding in her retirement in the coming years.

An entrepreneur and a board-certified hearing instrument specialist, Ms. DeMarco is recognized for her expertise as owner of Accurate Hearing Systems, LLC, a company that offers full-service lab facilities, free hearing tests for patients, and hearing aid fittings and repair, as well as in-house insurance services. Since founding the business in 2007, she has overseen all aspects of its day-to-day operations and built a loyal patient base of individuals who appreciate Ms. DeMarco's customer service skills, noting that she treats them more like family than patients.
Noted for her achievements in the field, Ms. DeMarco has been recognized with an International Hearing Society All-Star Award, an Anchorage Chamber of Commerce Award, a Chain Award from the Anchorage Cowboys football team, a Diamond Award from the Starkey Hearing Foundation (now Starkey Cares), and an Angel Award. Among her career accomplishments, she was particularly proud to be featured in the 2010 book "Alaska North to the Future (Volume IV)," an honor for which she was invited by the legislator featured in the book. Additionally, she was recognized in the 2020 Marquis Who's Who.
Before entering the hearing instrument profession, Ms. DeMarco earned an Associate of Science degree in marketing from Spokane Community College; however, she was inspired to change careers because of her passion for helping others. Following an interest in prosthetics, she began pursuing a second associate degree as a hearing instrument specialist and found it to be a great fit for her. After completing her official schooling, Ms. DeMarco continued to stay at the cutting edge of her profession by obtaining a Tinnitus Care Provider Certificate and becoming a Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist, both certifications offered by the International Hearing Society. As a commitment to her field, she is active with the International Hearing Society and the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce.
A volunteer within her community, Ms. DeMarco is engaged with Starkey Cares and the Project Access Foundation, through which she provides hearing aids at no cost to underprivileged residents who cannot afford them. Outside of work, she enjoys jeeping, quilting, crafting, cooking and spending time with her husband of 36 years, a supportive person whose encouragement enabled her to build her business.
