MONUMENT, CO, December 23, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Patricia Ann Ceballos, ABD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Ceballos celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Specializing in working with children that live along the autism spectrum, Ms. Ceballos has distinguished herself as a speech/language pathologist. As a part of Nursing and Therapy Services of Colorado Inc. (NTSOC), she works with children online via Zoom by providing various services through fun and exciting experiences. Starting her sessions with a story, Ms. Ceballos proceeds to incorporate props and other materials to maintain engagement with her students.

The NTSOC is a nonprofit organization that provides quality nursing-supervised home care, case management, and other services to the pediatric disabled community throughout southern Colorado.

During her tenured position with the NTSOC, Ms. Ceballos simultaneously served as a speech and language pathologist on behalf of the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind from 2012 to 2013. At the time, it was the only school in the state to specialize in this particular area. Ms. Ceballos also spent more than two decades in the classroom as a special education teacher, beginning in 1977. While teaching, she was notably responsible for establishing the first autism program for the largest school district in San Jose in 1996. Prior to forming the program, autistic students were placed in general special education classes, which did not sufficiently meet their needs.

Civically, Ms. Ceballos enjoys giving back to various nonprofit and charitable organizations. Presently, she is involved with Tri-Lakes Care in Monument, Colorado, a community-based resource center that graciously accepts volunteers who assist with various emergency, self-sufficiency and relief programs. Additionally, Ms. Ceballos volunteers her time with Fostering Hope, where she actively supports families when accepting foster children into their homes.

In preparation for her career, Ms. Ceballos acquired a Bachelor of Arts in drama, speech, and education at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1969, followed by a Master of Arts in speech pathology with a minor in psychology at Texas Christian University in 1972. Additionally, Ms. Ceballos completed all but her dissertation in special education, with a minor in speech pathology, at Texas Woman's University in Denton. Additional educational pursuits to her credit include a certificate of clinical competence in speech pathology through the American Speech and Hearing Association and a license in speech pathology in the states of Colorado and California.

Honoring her achievements, Ms. Ceballos was recognized with an Outstanding Educator Award in 1999 and, subsequently, with an Outstanding Professional Educator Award in 2010 from the Professional Association of Colorado Educators.
