Dorothy Iglehart Taylor Celebrated for Dedication to Ministry

Ms. Taylor channels years of expertise into her work with Training and Empowering Leaders International

She takes the most pride in living in six countries, working in 20 countries, and being a leader's wife.

FEDERAL WAY, WA, January 04, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dorothy Iglehart Taylor has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on decades of professional experience, Ms. Taylor presently excels as a co-founder of Training and Empowering Leaders International, which is driven to help others through ministry. Previously, she was the CEO's wife (she always supported her husband) of Christians in Action Missions International for 20 years beginning in 1982; her husband Rev. Elgin Taylor was the second elected CEO and they were the only Afro-American duly elected leaders (and then the first known president) to serve in Japan after World War II before later moving on to be the heads of CinA Europe. Over the years, Ms. Taylor has also gained valuable expertise in the field of education as a high school mathematics teacher in Bellmead, Texas. Outside of her work, Ms. Taylor aligns herself with the National Honor Society and the National Association of Evangelicals.

Dedicated to her community, Ms. Taylor helped co-found a Bible college and Evangelical church in South London in 1966. Similarly, she has built water wells, churches, and houses in the countries in which she has been a missionary (for example, they drilled fresh water wells in 16 needy villages in Central Ghana between 2003 and 2010). An expert in her field, she holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics from Paul Quinn College and a Master of Arts in journalism and mass communication from the International Bible Seminary. Due to her vast breadth of knowledge, Ms. Taylor has authored a number of publications, including "Taking Giant Steps in World Missions," and served for 30 years as a newspaper writer and editor for Christians in Action and Training and Empowering Leaders International.

In light of her professional achievements, Ms. Taylor won the Community Pillar Award from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. in 2013. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in living in six countries, working in 20 countries, and being a leader's wife. Rev Taylor was listed in two editions of Biltmore Who's Who (1989 and 2012, first for Outstanding Leadership in a Non-Profit International Organization and then for being the Founder of TEL International).

In the next five years, Ms. Taylor aims to continue helping others through her missionary work with Training and Empowering Leaders International, which she co-founded in 2007.
