Leading a diverse, rewarding career in the health care sector for more than a decade, Ms. Meehan spent her first eight years in the field as an intensive care unit nurse at St. Peter's Health Partners managing patients with no direct supervision. Subsequently joining Optum-UnitedHealth Group in 2021, she became a family nurse practitioner caring for the elderly, doing rounds, and, among other responsibilities, conducting physical exams. Experienced in both long-term care and geriatrics, Ms. Meehan also garnered expertise as a school nurse between 2016 and 2018.

Ms. Meehan holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Russell Sage College since 2011. Returning to college years later, she completed a Master of Science in Nursing at the Polytechnic Institute at the State University of New York in 2020.
