For more than 25 years, Ms. Becker has been focusing her career on health and wellness as a functional nutritionist, therapeutically certified nutrition consultant, holistic health practitioner, and entrepreneur. She is currently working with the owners of The Ranch Malibu in two functional nutrition programs. The Ranch Malibu is a luxury fitness company that helps individuals transform physically, mentally, and spiritually. It hosts week-long retreats for individuals, couples, and groups.
Ms. Becker co-founded Taproot Energetics in 2017, an organization that offers online, remote, and in-person programs and courses that teach the fundamentals of nutrition and sustainability. She also offers laboratory testing services to determine food sensitivity, intestinal permeability, pathogen testing, and more, as well as corporate wellness workshops, classes, and retreats. Noting that most of her clients are women in their 40s and beyond, Ms. Becker enjoys helping them make essential lifestyle changes by building meal plans that best suit their goals, as well as supplemental recommendations and one-on-one accountability sessions.
Additionally, Ms. Becker has served as an instructor at Urban Yoga since 2008. She also recently joined the Michaels House Treatment Center in 2022 as an instructor leading weekly nutrition and yoga classes. Ms. Becker formerly served as the director of wellness at We Care Spa from 2008 to 2020, was the co-founder and instructor at Moms and Babies, which focused on prenatal and postpartum yoga classes, between 2005 and 2009, was a food educator at Julius Corsini Elementary School where she taught nutrition education courses to grades three through five from 2007 to 2008, and was the owner of Dragonfly Wellness in Kingston, Jamaica, between 2001 and 2003.
Ms. Becker has volunteered her time by teaching in the public schools in Palm Springs, California, and for several organizations in Kingston, namely the National Council on Infant and Young Child Feeding and UNICEF's Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative. Furthermore, Ms. Becker has served on the National Committee for Infant and Young Child Feeding in Jamaica.
A graduate of Goddard College, Ms. Becker achieved a Bachelor's degree in health arts and sciences with a focus on trauma. She also completed various training courses in her field and received certification as a nutritional consultant certified colon hydrotherapist and holistic health practitioner. She is presently pursuing a master's degree in counseling psychology at Pacific Graduate Institute and maintains membership with the National Association of Nutrition Professionals.
