In 2019, Ms. Lane went for it, and, shortly thereafter, Nothing Sweeter Bakery was born.
Despite several setbacks since her grand opening, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Lane continues to expand business operations and clientele. Finding constant inspiration in her grandmother, who taught her how to make various types of cookies, cakes, and other popular desserts while coming of age, Ms. Lane has notably incorporated some of her homemade recipes into the business to honor her legacy. A picture of her grandmother also proudly hangs on one of the walls inside the bakery, too.
Apart from her professional endeavors, Ms. Lane supports her community through membership with the Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce. She also frequently donates to local charities, churches, and other nonprofit organizations and makes cakes for community fundraising events that support various causes. During the holiday season, Ms. Lane also welcomes the children of the community into her bakery to provide them with a visit with Santa.
