Elaine previously worked at General Motors and Hewlett-Packard and spent more than 30 years with Waddell & Reed Financial Services as a financial advisor where she formed a high-producing practice ranked in the top 1% of advisors. She served several years as a member of the firm's President's Council and was recognized several times as a "Top Producer" as well as received the "Seven C's" award, which was the highest distinction given to a financial advisor who exemplifies that the client is at the center of everything we do. In her desire to offer a more customized client experience she founded Financial Journey Partners in 2018.
Born in Germany and adopted by American parents, Elaine was brought to America as a child and raised in the U.S. This has instilled a passion to help others have enough wealth to create opportunities and avoid some of the hard choices in life. She attended Kettering University where she acquired a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance in 1983. Additional educational pursuits to Ms. Manley's credit include credentials as a Certified Financial Planner® Professional by the board of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. and credentials as a licensed insurance agent in accident, health, life, variable life, and variable annuities through the California Department of Insurance (#0706550).
Locally, as a longtime member of the League of Women Voters of Cupertino-Sunnyvale since 1984, she is passionate about good government and keeping democracy working. She feels that inspiring leadership makes all the difference, and we can all do something to improve our country. She served several times as the organization's president between the years 2013 and 2022 and spearheaded her League's Sunnyvale redistricting efforts in 2022. She enjoys her group's efforts in providing fact-checked forums and educational material so people can make informed choices.
Showcasing her success in her region, Elaine has been recognized among Silicon Valley Business Journal's Women of Influence in 2022. This award recognizes women who are established business leaders, with a strong record of innovation in their fields, outstanding performance in their businesses and a clear track record of meaningful community involvement.
