Leveraging more than 25 years of excellence to her credit in nursing and wellness coaching, Ms. Nutt has earned distinction as a leader in health coaching. In this capacity, she is the director of health and wellness coaching for the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute. Since 2022, she has focused her efforts on overseeing the health coaching program as well as engaging in teaching, recruiting, marketing and advertising. She sees patients in the clinic and works with other health care professionals on integrated and innovative projects.
Outside of her primary career efforts, Ms. Nutt has been a transformational coach for Your Deeper Calling in Eden Prairie, Minnesota since 2015 and a consultant and subject matter expert for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs' Whole Health Project since 2020. She is also a member of the senior faculty for the Being Human Life Institute and was previously an educational consultant for the University of California, Irvine. Additionally, she has served as a board member for the International Coach Federation of Minnesota and is a valued member of the American Holistic Nurse's Association and the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Nutt began her career as a wellness coach for Clarian Health Systems in 2006 and became the manager of Wellness Coaches Clarian Health in 2007. She then served as a registered nurse for Hillview Health Care Center in 2008 and was the manager, CSO and ARCC for the hospital float pool of the Gundersen Health System in 2009. She was promoted to a system level project manager in 2010. Following this time, she served as a holistic nurse clinician for HealthEast in 2013 until joining the graduate faculty with the University of Minnesota in 2015. During this time, she also served as a nurse coach for Neighborhood Naturopathic LLC in 2019 and was the co-director of the integrative health and wellbeing coaching program of the University of Minnesota Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality and Healing.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Nutt earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in a registered nursing program from Viterbo University in 1995. She then attained a certificate in personal coaching and life coaching from Coach University in 2003. She subsequently gained a Master of Arts in human development, focus corporate coaching and training from St. Mary's University in 2005. Well-qualified in her field, she is board-certified in holistic nursing from the American Holistic Nurses Association and is nationally board-certified in health and wellness coaching from the American Medical Association.
Within the coming years, Ms. Nutt intends to pursue a doctorate degree that will allow her to combine system-level thinking, leadership thinking, healthcare, coaching and integrative medicine to become a next-level leader in those fields. She also plans to collaborate on research and innovative projects with other physicians and healthcare leaders. She aspires to collaborate with others who wish to advance the integrative healthcare field and meet patients' needs more holistically.
