Prior to starting his private career, Mr. Avery served honorably in the United States Navy, earning multiple military awards for his dedicated work. During his military service, he began his career as an acute care nurse practitioner for the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia in 2012. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Colorado State University. He then attained a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia in 2012.
Within the coming years, Mr. Avery intends to improve Velocity Urgent Care with his clinical expertise, raising it to the level he believes they can perform at for their patients. He originally joined the military intending to become a police officer. Having been passionate about caring for people since his youth, he gained an EMT license and cared for patients in the back of the ambulance in a small town in Colorado, finding he had a unique affinity for the work. He ultimately decided to commit himself to studying nursing medicine, and has been a dedicated medical professional in critical care since then.
