Since 2015, Ms. Polk has thrived as the vice president and owner of Birmingham Vital Care, which provides intravenous therapies for patients at their homes. With more than 15 years of infusion therapy experience, she specializes in administering the aforementioned medical technique to patients with antibody deficiencies or infections. Ms. Polk also regularly treats patients who recently underwent surgery for severe injuries and would normally have to recover in the confines of a hospital.

Prior to the establishment of Birmingham Vital Care, Ms. Polk excelled as an accounting manager for Walgreens Option Care, which was formerly known as Walgreens Infusion Services, from 2006 until 2015. Between 2002 and 2020, she found further success as the president of the parent-teacher organization for a local elementary school as well as a local high school. Towards the end of this period, Ms. Polk simultaneously completed a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Auburn University at Montgomery.

During her tenure with Walgreens Option Care, Ms. Polk was honored with a host of accolades in relation to her expertise with intravenous antibiotic therapy and the intravenous administration of immunoglobulin. Likewise, Birmingham Vital Care has been recognized amongst the most renowned home infusion therapy providers in her home state of Alabama on multiple occasions. Along with her faith, Ms. Polk attributes a great deal of her success to her passion for helping others.
