Mr. Dion has diligently served in diverse roles as a retail buying and operations executive and has been a legendary philanthropist running marathons around the world raising over $140,000 for charity

ROGERS, AR, January 18, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Arthur F. Dion has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, feedback from professional colleagues, visibility, and prominence in their fields are all taken into account during the selection process.

Art's Christian faith is very strong, and he was quick to point out God that has been a big part of his success. He also indicated, "I hold myself accountable to live Biblically in everything I do at a personal and professional level each and every day. He continues saying, "Faith, Family, and Service to others via Integrity, Striving for Excellence, and Respecting all individuals, is his "Mission Statement" to live by. He gives credit to Sam Walton and the Wal*Mart and Sam's Club company culture for instilling these values in him even before he joined the company. Once he read the book "Made in America" by Sam Walton he knew that is where he wanted to work.

On that note, Art is most proud of his time at Sam's Club where he has been since 2003. He is currently a Senior Buyer for Dry Grocery, and Adult Beverages, a role he has held since 2017. His experience with the retail giant is deep and includes a role as Senior Buyer of Produce, Bakery and Freezer/Cooler, Director of Global Sourcing OTC and Optical as well. Mr. Dion also contributed to Sam's Club as a Health and Wellness Director of Operations and a Regional Director of Health & Wellness as well. Moreover, he was a Regional Sales Director of Membership for the NE US, and also a Senior Director of Membership for seven years where he helped to rollout the Instant Savings program for the company, (the first of its kind in Retail) and also substantially grew Sam's Club Membership results at a very high level. He has received numerous awards as Regional of the Year, and Director of Operations of the Year.

"In talking to Art's Team Members, we were very impressed with the feedback we received. His strategic leadership and people focused leadership created excellent results in each role he has been in. On top of that he was a "Servant Leader" who worked for his Associates. His leaders said his support was always built on "Supporting them in whatever they needed and exceeding their expectations. Moreover, his "Strategic People Leadership" really stands out, as "He could see into the future and anticipate what was needed to support his Associates before they could see that themselves. Then he offered us that help and promised he would take care of it, so his Team did not have to worry about anything." We believe here at Marquis that vision is a "World Class Leadership Trait" not often seen in the business world today. Art's friends were quick to point out he lives that paradigm as well in personal relationships. "He always is putting others needs before his and anticipating what he can do to help his family and friends before they even realize what they need, and just jumps in and gets what they need before they even ask."

Art has given speeches around the U.S. promoting the company's Diversity and Inclusion focus and has delivered a Keynote Address at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. in 2014. He has been a member of the Business Advisory Board for the National Hispanic Council on Aging (NHCOA) and has been at the U.S. Capitol several times meeting with members of Congress on improving health care for senior citizens. Art also received a "Certificate of Commendation" from the State of New Jersey in October 2018 for all his work supporting diversity and inclusion, small business, charity fundraising, and promoting health care for senior citizens. He is also very proud of the speeches he has given to college students and young people as they are the future of our country.

Art also created excellent results at Eye Care Centers of America while he was VP of Operations for the Company and received the prestigious "President's Award." He also made a huge impact during his time with BJ's Wholesale Club.

A spirit of service has pervaded his activities for a good part of his life. Art identifies himself as someone who can always be relied on to provide a helping hand to others in need, and has always had strong ties to the communities he has resided in. At the age of nine he went with his mom to the local community center to volunteer, which was the initial inspiration to give back to others. Art has been involved in sports since junior high school. He took his athletic prowess to the next level in early 2015 when he had a "God Moment" and learned he could run marathons for charity. He started with the Boston Marathon and then ran the races in Tokyo, London, Berlin, New York City and Chicago, to be inducted into the Abbott Marathon Hall of Fame as an "everyday champion" in October 2019. He took that to a whole next level of challenge to be one of 321 people to run the "Antarctic Ice Marathon" in December 2021 near the South Pole. Art hopes to run a marathon on all seven continents and has also participated in bike races/rides for charity as well.

The best part of this is that Mr. Dion is one of most successful Charity Marathon Runners in the U.S. As Bill Rodgers, (world famous marathoner who won the Boston Marathon 4 times) stated in an article about Art in 2019, "Art is one of the most dedicated fundraising marathoners in the U.S." He has raised over $140,000, most of that going to the Samaritan Community Center in NW Arkansas to impact food insecurity and 11 other services they offer the community. He has also raised money for "Team for Kids" and mentored teenagers in inner city communities to help them go down the right "streets and avenues" of life.

Art is very emphatic that "All of the Associates at Wal*Mart and Sam's Clubs along with all my family and friends deserve all the recognition for this achievement. He does the easy part, running the race. All of folks that donated are the heroes of this achievement, and all should be recognized at a very high level."

He has been inspired at a high level with all the Sam's Club and Wal*Mart Associates working in the stores and clubs around the world during the pandemic. "If they can risk their lives everyday working with our Members and Customers, then I can surely take my part in giving back to our community." Art also credits his daughter Amy Stewart for being a nurse working on the Covid front lines during the pandemic. "Her courage and giving spirit are an inspiration to me and everyone that knows what she has accomplished." Mr. Dion also appreciates his brother Mark, who has had many challenges in his life, and continues to have a "positive attitude."

Mr. Dion remains grateful for the productive relationships he has forged with helpful mentors over the years and credits those relationships with his professional advancement. He wants to raise $250,000 for charity and continue to develop more leaders at Sam's Club. He is very proud of all the people he has mentored and impacted that have been promoted in the company. We have learned Art is a great motivator of people, inspires all he comes in contact with, and lives up to his mantra of having a "Super Fantastic Attitude". Congratulations Art on all that you have done, and we proudly welcome you to "Who's Who in America!"
