Ms. Schneider quickly rose to prominence as the Director of Lab Services and Chief Medical Technologist at the Chesapeake Regional Healthcare Center from 1973 to 1979. During this time, she was a published author in Scientific American for ground-breaking research in the laboratory field. In addition, she served as Editor in Chief for The Virginian, the Journal of Virginia State Society of Medical Technologists. As Editor, she was awarded the Best State Journal for her work in 1979.
Ms. Schneider expanded her horizons as an entrepreneur, publicist, business owner and movie producer. She was the Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Professional Connection, and she went on to be the founder and co-owner of Schneider and Wholey, LLC. All the while, Ms. Schneider has followed her passion of log home building and design. With over three decades of experience in the log home design, manufacturing, and building industries, Ms. Schneider is currently CEO/President of Cedar Direct Log Homes, LLC. With dealers spanning across the United States, Ms. Schneider provides cedar log home packages to many of the contiguous states.
Ms. Schneider has always found the time and energy to dedicate herself to civic advocacy throughout her illustrious career. She has held prominent positions with the Eastern Seals of WPA, American Heart Association, the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and many other local charitable organizations. Her volunteer efforts have been recognized with five nominations for the Hestia Award given to those who achieve the highest level of charitable work.
Throughout her professional journey, which has been filled with many memorable moments, Ms. Schneider is especially proud of her charitable work.
