Michael L. Wingard has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

    APALACHIN, NY, January 20, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael L. Wingard has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Leveraging more than four decades of excellence in engineering and manufacturing, Mr. Wingard has earned distinction as a field applications engineering manager and environmentalist for Amphenol Global Interconnect Solutions. Since 2013, he has focused his efforts on power solutions, busbars and cable assembly and developing a Field Applications Engineering group for Amphenol Global Interconnect Solutions. Additionally, he has been the company's director of engineering from 1999 to 2013 responsible for developing SCSI and high speed assemblies. He is a dedicated member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers as well as the Open Compute Project. Among his professional accomplishments, he is proud to have received an Outstanding Engineering and Commercial Achievement Award from the Amphenol Corporation in 2006.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Wingard earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 1981. He then attained a Master of Business Administration in manufacturing and marketing from Binghamton University in 1992. Outside of his primary career efforts, he is a valued member of the Pennsylvania Railroad Technical and Historical Society, Penn Central Railroad Historical Society and the Railroaders Memorial Museum of Altoona, Pennsylvania. In addition he supports restoration projects at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania located in Strasburg, Pennsylvania.

Within the coming years, Mr. Wingard and wife Esperanza intends to retire and live closer to his daughter. Accounting for his legacy of success in engineering, he credits his parents, who laid a solid foundation for him to achieve greatness. Although they were not able to pursue a college education for themselves, they instilled in him the importance of holding good ethical considerations in his work, which he carries on to this day. In addition to his parents, his wife and daughter have been a constant source of support and encouragement throughout his career.
