In this position, he fills vacant C-level positions for clients, particularly the roles of chief technology officer, chief information officer and chief operating officer, as well as vice president of sales. In this diverse and challenging position, he will provide clients with a wide range of services by filling temporary leadership gaps for organizations, helping them continue with their day-to-day operations so they don't fall behind or miss critical deadlines. Mr. Roark also works with leaders who are struggling to adapt to their positions, and provides them with mentorship and guidance to help them break through their limits and discover new facets of themselves in the process. As Mr. Roark describes it, it is the process of transforming from a manager to a true leader. Another aspect of the work is performing "gap analysis," to develop continuous improvement plans based on the data that he discovers. In addition to his consulting business, Mr. Roark also partners with and supports his wife's company, West Coast Medical, LLC, serving as its chief operating officer.
A storied professional, Mr. Roark has a great deal of experience as a C-level consultant to enterprise organizations in the IT industry. He brings his clients the full benefit of his successful 20-year career in senior executive positions working for value-added reseller IT brokers, such as Mainline Information Systems, Presidio, Vology and TW Telecom. As a value-added reseller/broker for these organizations, he delivered hardware and service/implementation solutions to all points of an organization, from the data center to the end user, in data management, data innovation and data security. He also built a strong network of working relationships with clients, distributors and manufacturers, which has given him a well-earned sterling reputation within the industry.
Having worked in operational improvement throughout his entire career, Mr. Roark has developed a personal philosophy regarding open communication and leadership, modeled after Former President Theodore Roosevelt. He prides himself on telling it like it is, and he prefers letting his actions speak louder than his words. More than anything else, he is committed to always giving his clients and colleagues the best advice possible, even when that advice may conflict with what they want to hear. Also, in his own words, "Never be afraid to hire someone smarter than you. They can only make you look better."
Mr. Roark served as a combat medic/paramedic EMT in the Army National Guard from 1992 until 1998, supporting tanker and scout units during his years of service. He also owned a personal training business, through which he helped train celebrities and high-profile VIPs in Louisiana. In this role, he created bespoke workout routines and established custom nutrition and kinesiology plans for each client.
Mr. Roark received two Bachelor of Science degrees in business and health care management from American InterContinental University in 2004 and 2005, respectively.
