In 2020, Adolph published the well-reviewed book, "Surviving the United Nations: The Unexpected Challenge" - detailing his first four years of United Nations civil service in Africa and the Middle East, which involved kidnappings, a Jihadist suicide bombing, emergency evacuations, gunfights, child soldiers, blood diamonds, prisoner recovery, and much more.
Colonel Adolph, a qualified Military Strategist, holds graduate degrees in both international affairs and national security studies. He also completed many United Nations sponsored courses of instruction, including the UK Scotland Yard's Hostage Incident Management program - subsequently consulting successfully on over a dozen kidnappings in the Middle East and Africa. Adolph also served on four UN peacekeeping missions in Egypt & Israel, Cambodia, Iraq & Kuwait, and Sierra Leone in West Africa. He has lived and worked in 16 countries on four continents.
Accounting for success in his multifaceted careers, Colonel Adolph credits an adventurous spirit and affinity for writing. He does not emphasize making money or accruing fame as his motivator, but rather centers on personal growth and self-improvement - noting that he has evolved greatly as an individual over the past 40 years. Adolph has made multiple speaking engagements in person and via Zoom on subjects as varied as leadership, wisdom, the wars in Ukraine and Afghanistan, the United Nations, Terrorism and more at multiple universities, institutes, governmental organizations, and international agencies in the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In early 2022 he served as mission leader for an international team in support of the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) in Ukraine.
