    LAYTON, UT, February 02, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Paul G. "RD" Schmidt, MAS, Lieutenant Colonel, USAF (Ret.), has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Since 2016, Colonel Schmidt has thrived as the senior consulting system design engineer with Pelatron Technologies LLC. With 28 years of experience as a military pilot and over nine years as an F-16 software consultant to his credit, he focuses on helping software engineers design and deliver avionics capabilities to U.S. and various military partners. Colonel Schmidt regularly harnesses his aviation expertise to identify areas of improvement in various technical solutions. He also focuses on developing comprehensive technical documentation for new avionics software capabilities in the form of pilot's guides and avionics flight manuals.

Prior to his career in the avionics space, Colonel Schmidt held numerous leadership positions with the United States Air Force including deputy group commander, squadron commander, director of operations, and flight commander. During the 1980s, he established his expertise as a pilot of the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon (aka, "Viper") before advancing to become the chief of the U.S. Air Force's F-16 operational test & evaluation programs between 1994 and 1997. Towards the beginning of this period, Colonel Schmidt simultaneously earned a Master of Science in aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

In recognition of his participation in the Iraq War, Colonel Schmidt was twice honored with a Distinguished Flying Cross on behalf of the U.S. Air Force. Along with his resilient personality, he attributes a great deal of his success to his attention to detail and his exceptional communication skills. In the coming years, he intends to settle into his retirement while spending more time with his wife and four adult children.
