Mrs. Terry is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Chefella's, LLC. DBA/Chefella's Catering and Events, a one stop shop that does it all from start to finish. She oversees a team that creates and designs full-service events, as well as provides catering. She also handles menu cultivation, and she is the point person for product inventory and cost reporting.
An impressive academic background is foundational to Mrs. Terry's success and includes an Associate of Applied Science in Hospitality Management from Wake Technical Community College (WTCC), which she completed in 2013. She also earned an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts at WTCC in 2012. She became the owner of Chefella's Catering and Events in 2017 as well as the restaurant Chefella's at the Dupree House from 2020-2021 that was closed due to COVID. Currently Mrs. Terry also operates Ella's Eats Food Truck, a business venture she initiated in 2022.
Mrs. Terry explored broad aspects of the restaurant and hospitality industry to gain deep experience in the field. Her appointments include the role of Director of Catering for Saladelia Hospitality in 2016, and she was acting Food and Beverage Manager for Summit Hospitality Group Ltd., also in 2016. From 2014 to 2016, she was the Executive Chef for FHBC, and Mrs. Terry worked at House Autry Mills between 2013 and 2014 as the Research and Development Chef and from 2011 to 2013 as an Executive Chef Assistant at McCormick and Schmicks.
Numerous commendations have marked Mrs. Terry's career milestones, including being named the Athena Powerlink recipient in 2019, which honored her entrepreneurial achievements by partnering her with highly successful business owners across the state of North Carolina. She carefully maintains other critical networks by holding a Board of Directors position with the Clayton Chamber of Commerce and by being an Ambassador. Mrs. Terry also serves as a mentor for several organizations such as Athena Powerlink, Launchaco, and many more. Mrs. Terry is also proud to be named among the Top 55 Women to Know in North Carolina as designated by KNOW Women LLC in 2022.
Mrs. Terry is also the founder of "Chef In The Community," a project for hunger and homeless and "BRIDGE" (Building Relationships, Impacting Diversity & Growing Economy), which is an DEI initiative of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Terry has received other awards such as Student Ambassador in college, Taste of Carolina Award, CCOC Business of the Month, CCOC Volunteer of the Year, Alignable Local Main Street Mentor, and Local Businessperson of the Year.
