With nearly 30 years of experience in the catering and events industry, Ms. Freeman is recognized for her role as the Special Events manager for Pigéon Catering and Events. The company provides authentic New Orleans cuisine and culinary favorites from around the world for all events large or small, delivered with an elevated level of service and innovative presentation. In her role, Ms. Freeman is responsible for approximately $2 to $3 million in sales per year for the business, comprised of corporate events, conventions, weddings, and other gatherings.
Ms. Freeman's interest in event planning and catering began when she was a child, as her father was a prominent lawyer in New Orleans and her family often entertained people in their house. After her parents divorced, her mother opened Partysist, an event planning and catering company. Ms. Freeman served as sales director and co-owner of Partysist for 22 years, until the business closed because of Hurricane Katrina. Throughout her career, Ms. Freeman attributes her success to her calm demeanor and her strict attention to detail, as well as her local connections.
As a commitment to her field, Ms. Freeman is a member of the International Live Events Association, Meeting Professionals International and the National Association for Catering and Events. Before embarking on her career, she earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Loyola University. Outside of her catering work, she enjoys traveling abroad, live music shows, the beach and hanging out with her family.
Looking toward the future, she hopes to help contribute to the success of Pigéon Catering and Events for many years to come. She is also interested in pursuing consulting with restaurants to help teach them how to successfully execute off premises catering services. It is an art!!!
