She has a wide range of nursing experience, from bedside nursing, to leadership role, and currently as a Primary Care Provider. Among her numerous accomplishments are as follows; as a leader, she has made numerous contributions that helped earn the Lantern Award and Certification for Geriatric for Good Shepherd ER in Barrington, Illinois. In addition, she was given the Most Valuable Leadership Award for her leadership, including developing several protocols that help facilitate the care of patients in the Emergency Department. In addition, she facilitated research projects, one of which was the award-winning project on Implementing Guidelines to improve Asthma care among children, coordinating this project while working as a PM Manager in the busy Trauma Center of the Loyola University Hospital in Illinois. When she was a young nurse in the Philippines, she worked as a staff nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Philippine General Hospital. Her passion for serving the less fortunate fueled her to speak and rally her colleagues to demand a more extensive facility to help more people in dire need. She also volunteered as a Missionary Healthcare Worker and went to the underserved community to provide free medical care.
After gaining more than three decades of expertise in the healthcare field as an emergency room nurse, Ms. Savella began working and fulfilling her lifelong dream to serve as a Primary Care Provider with the mission of providing quality care to everyone, including the most vulnerable populations and those living in the underserved communities. She attributed her successes to her upbringing and was inspired by her father's words that "To dream is free, so keep on dreaming."
Lastly, Ms. Savella's words of encouragement for the next generation is that "It is not where you are coming from that matters most, but where you are going and what you are willing to contribute."
