After concluding his 22-year career as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Mr. Warner began following his passion for writing in 2012, something he has enjoyed since his college days. With the encouragement of his longtime wife, he began submitting his work for consideration. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Warner's books were picked up by The Peppertree Press, a publishing company in Sarasota, Florida.

Among these include "Holdup Number Six: An FBI Novel Based on Actual Events" in 2015, "Going Knee To Knee With FBI Polygraph" in 2018, and "Hoosier Fields: An FBI Crime Story" released in 2019. Additional novels he's had published include "Appalachian Impasse: A Chilling Crime Thriller" in 2017, "Ohio Boys: Unruly Short Stories Inspired by Actual Events" in 2017, and "Jewels In The Sand: A Novel of Love and War" released in 2018, which is a 600 page saga and took him nearly two years to complete. Since then, "Gold Line to Lenox: An Odyssey of Crime, Love and Betrayal" came out in 2021. His eighth novel, the first of a trilogy, "Ott's Tribulation: A Legal Thriller" is anticipated for release in 2023. Attributing his success to his love for reading, Mr. Warner aims to submit some of his books to Netflix and other production companies in hopes of acquiring a movie deal. Mr. Warner also plans to continue writing and focusing on finishing his trilogy.
During his distinguished tenure in the FBI, Mr. Warner worked violent crime matters, and more notably, specialized in polygraph. His career took him all over the world to include Bogota, Columbia; Nairobi, Kenya: Kampala, Uganda and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Among his achievements in the field, Mr. Warner dedicated over a year to aiding in the conviction of a corrupt State trooper and his gang after having committed five armed robberies including three armored trucks.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Warner remains active as a member of the American Legion. He is also a parishioner at his local church.
Born and raised in Ohio, Mr. Warner enlisted in the military after high school because his family did not have the means to pay for his college tuition. Having served a tour of duty with the 82nd Airborne Division in the U.S. Army, he was fortunate to find mentorship in one of the sergeants whom he worked for and was a tremendous inspiration to him. After completing his service, Mr. Warner was accepted to the University of Cincinnati where he achieved a Bachelor of Business Administration. Continuing his education, he garnered a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychophysiology from Argosy University and a Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia.
To remain abreast in his current industry, Mr. Warner is a member of the Florida Writers Association.
