Prior to his current role and following his being awarded a law degree in 1996, Mr. Greenaway began his career as a corporate finance associate with Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney PC, and followed as a senior associate with Hutchins, Wheeler and Dittmar in 2000. He became the managing director of Opes Asset Partners in 2003 and accepted a role as the Director of the Boston Center of the Minority Business Development Agency of the United States Department of Commerce in 2015. During this time, he was also the managing director of the MBE advisory for the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. from 2015 until 2021.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Greenaway earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from Boston College in 1992. He then attained a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1996. Mr. Greenaway served for five years as Board President of the Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation, for four years was an Advisory Commissioner appointee to the Governor Baker/Polito administration, and is a former member of the American Bar Association.
